1. WELDING TECHNIQUE:

1.1 DESCRIPTION OF WELDING OPERATION:

Connecting two materials from the same or similar types by using heat, pressure or both of them by adding or not adding an additional material is called "welding". Welding can be defined as a regional molding process. Our company produces machines used for welding  by applying  spot welding (resistance welding), gas metal arc welding (mig - mag) welding techniques.

In our company as spot welding machine types we produce projection spot welding machines, butt spot welding machines, multi-spot welding machines (group spot machines), mechanical footed spot welding machines,   servo and PLC controlled spot machines.

In our company as gas arc welding machine we produce 250A gas welding machines without tower, 350 with tower, gas welding machines without tower, 450 with tower, water cooled gas metal arc welding machines

1.2. DEVELOPMENT PROCESS WELDING TECHNIQUE:

Welding technology has demonstrated a great development in the last 100 years. As the first welding process forge welding may be shown.

Development process in welding technology is summarized below:

1802 - Research on electrical arc

1867 – Invention of the electric resistance welding

1900 - Application of Gas fusion welding in industry

1919 - The first application of the protective gas welding

1936 - Application of protective gas welding with helium

1953 - Application of CO2 and protective gas welding in industry

1954 - Construction of entirely welding joint yacht combines with Al-Mg alloy material  

1961 - Plasma welding application

In this development process, while welding methods based on new principles were invented from another side known methods were developed and automated.

In today's welding technique, among these methods electrical resistance welding, coated electrode welding, arc welding, electro-slag welding and protective gas welding are generally accepted methods.

Cold Press welding, electron beam welding and laser welding methods are defined as methods depending on particular application fields.

We will focus on MiG-MAG welding among protective gas welding methods in this document.
